Congratulations to the Korean Dance Therapy Association on 20 years of conferences. This sort of international event can make a significant contribution to the development of this new profession globally. Dance movement psychotherapy integrates the body and mind in such a powerfully transformative way it deserves recognition from, for example, fields in health, social and education services. The conference demonstrates a rich professional practice and enhances the dissemination of research. Extending the conference attendance to delegates from oversees and offering presentations from colleagues from around the world adds to the diversity of theory, research and practice so we may compare and contrast them resulting in, for example, the furtherance of understanding of key aspects fundamental to the practice of DMP.
