Workshop Description:

This experiential and didactic training focuses on the lifelong impact of developmental trauma. Employing the theoretical underpinnings of Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT), participants will gain knowledge about how childhood trauma can present itself on an embodied level, learning techniques to support children, adolescents, and even adults cope with their histories while healing and growing in the present.

Daily Schedule:

Day 1: Introductions, defining Developmental Trauma Disorder, the Adverse Childhood Experiences Scale, cultural contextualization/considerations for both DTD and ACEs

Day 2: Strategies and interventions for supporting children and adolescents impacted by DTD

Day 3: Strategies and interventions for supporting adults impacted by DTD, consideration of clinical applications to other populations/areas, closure

Seminar Registration:
