On Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11 a.m., Prof. Boon Soon Ryu received the Special Award of the "Korean Dance Critics Award," hosted by the Korean Dance Critics Association, during an event organized by Monthly Dance. This special award was presented in recognition of Professor Ryu's pioneering contributions to the field of dance movement psychotherapy in Korea, as well as her significant role in advancing the academic discipline and professionalizing the field.
